1. What is this site about?

This web site was built to serve three main purposes.

  1. A place for web site owners to sell their web sites to a community of web developers, web masters, website brokers and entreperneurs.
  2. A place for people to come and buy an established web site business with the protection of other experienced internet entreperneurs through comments and a rating system that can help the buyer make well informed decisions on their future purchase.
  3. To be a valuable resource to future and or current web site owners that are looking to improve their internet real estate.

2. Why did you build this site?

The founder of this system is an experienced web developer and has built many web sites over the years and knew that with the internet being so young that soon there will be a need for people to have a place to buy, sell or trade web sites. At the time of building this web site there really wasn't competition for a web site for sale community. Although we do admit that we were not the first web site of this type we do believe we have set a standard were others have not.

3. What makes your site so different?

Two of our competitors charge a commission for the sale of a web site, which cannot possibly work because a web site owner can be easily researched and contacted outside of the system. Another competitor only sells his own websites and our last competitor has a small forum on a very popular search engine community web site which is not their expertise. We our different because we look at the details of each transaction, then create methods to deliver more information about the web site listing to you.

4. What methods are in place to help protect me from another member and the transactions that will take place?

We are not responsible for any transaction on this web site other than our own. We have created a small check and balance system to help protect our members from being misslead or to help them to understand what is involved in a transaction. Some of examples of this are;

  • Detailed Listings: We ask a series of questions to help you determine a listings worth and to help the seller prove their listing has this value.
  • Member Comments: We built a system that allows other members to ask questions and or challenge a listing and in turn allow the listing owner to answer those comments. All transactions are followed through with email to both the buyer and the seller to let them know a question or comment has been posted.
  • Rating System: we ask you not to rely solely on the rating system, it was built to help you see which listings stand out more than others voted by other members.
  • Forums: In our forums you can discuss with other members on a wide variety of topics.
  • Articles: We provide articles written by industry experts to help educate yourself in the industry.

5. How do I buy a web site?

All you have to do is register on your site and become a member. Then research the web site to make sure the information that the owner has listed is accurate. You can learn how to do this in the forums. You also have the ability to ask the seller questions. Once you have determined that you would like to purchase a web site, you can send the owner a message through the comment feature, a simple "I want to buy your web site" will do. The owner will be sent your email with your message. You can also make a bid to the owner if you would like to offer a lower amount. If you and the web site owner would like to close the deal, it would then be up to both parties to determine how that is done.

6. How do I determine the value of a web site?

Many people have different ways of determining a web sites value. Some will look at the income that is collected monthly, some look at how many members a community has and other how much traffic a web site gets. We suggest that you look at every aspect of a listing and come up with your own conclusion.

7. How do I sell a web site?

To sell your web site, you will need to register to become a member. Once a member you can add a new web site on your user control panel. You will want to add every bit of information you can because the buyer will want to know this information in order to determine if your site is worth your price. Then you will receive emails containing comments, questions and bids. Your are then able to determine who you would like to sell your web site to. If you and the web site owner would like to close the deal, it would then be up to both parties to determine how that is done.

8. Why do I have to become a member?

Our system relies upon tracking users and the information they give us so we can automate certain features as well as keep you updated on transactions that take place that concern your listings.

9. Will you sell or give out my contact information?

No, we do not sell or give your information out to any third parties. All information is used for our system only. Please refer to our privacy policy located on the bottom of every page on this site.
